I have been a Credit Manager since May 1976; this is a must attend conference. Always something new to learn or better yet refreshes an old idea; great time to network with your peers, exchange ideas, credit / collection techniques.

I have been fortunate to attend Western Regional Credit Conference for five of the eight years I have been in my present position.
My employer pays for every other year, so it is up to me to budget my own finances to be able to attend the other times. Every conference has such great speakers and the classes are extremely informative. There may be only one thing you bring back with you from the conference, but it seems as if I am referring to my notes and handouts months later for something that was discussed and now presents itself in my workload. I am always encouraging new people in our affiliate to attend, and have offered to have their immediate supervisors contact me for further information. The networking advantages, learning and motivation I receive from attending this conference is something I look forward to each year. I have already been checking airfares to Las Vegas for the trip in October. WRCC is becoming an important part of my life as a credit manager
I wish that there was actually more days of this conference, but what you gain in the days there will be a plus in helping to make those sometimes difficult credit decisions. I hope that you will be able to join us in October.

Management should endorse one’s attendance whole hardily. What one can take away from a couple of days is well worth the time and money. From the luncheon speakers to the classes, this by far is the best continuing education for a credit person.
Example, last year’s luncheon speaker spoke on how the credit person must look to make sales, not deter them.

I attended last years WRCC not really knowing what to expect since it was my first one. I must say that it was very organized. The speakers were great. The breakout sessions were very resourceful. I walked away with a wealth of new information. The speakers were Great! There was definitely something for everyone and definitely worth the time and money.
I am really looking forward to this years...I hope the sessions I want to take are not all at the same times :-)
